Berkeley School District 87 was founded in 1848 with one school building serving a rural settlement. Today four elementary schools, two middle schools and an administration center serve six suburban communities of District 87. The District is also home of commercial properties, serving a diverse population of approximately 2,700 students.
Our broadly diverse District of students, staff and community work together, creating an atmosphere of cooperation and trust--where education is paramount.
To meet the needs and interests of all its students, District 87 offers progressive academic programs and a wide variety of co-curricular activities. Exceptional staff development programs are available to District 87 staff members.
In District 87, quality education is more than just a goal; it's a reality!
