After School Clubs

After School Clubs are in full swing. Clubs began on Tuesday October 12th and will continue until April 30, 2011. A parent permission form must be completed before a child can attend. Transportation will be provided to students who qualify for these services. There is one bus that takes all of the students home.

Students who are selected for clubs must meet certain criteria:

1. Scored below the 25th National Percentile on the Terra Nova Reading or Mathematics Test.

2. Scored in the below or warning range on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT).

3. Teacher recommendation

Students attend clubs two days a week. The clubs focus on specific reading skills that students need extra help understanding along with ISAT test preparation skills. We have also included Mathematics clubs this year with the focus on problem solving and number sense.
