Technology Department 2011-2012

The Technology Department of Berkeley School District 87 was able to replace Jefferson, Sunnyside, and Whittier Elementary school computer lab technology. During the transition the OS X computers from the labs were moved into classrooms to replace 10 year old student computers. Berkeley School District is working hard to increase technology access to students for more interactive programs.
To increase office productivity many of the school office computers have been replaced / upgraded. We were also able to replace 14 year old computers in the Food Services Department to assist with faster lunchroom transactions.

With the network and telephone infrastructures in place we have also equipped our school buildings with wireless accessibility through out the schools, and applied for increased bandwidth district wide in preparation to support mobile technology for Berkeley School District students.
