IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

The end of the 2011-2012 school year is rapidly approaching. Through the month of May the students at Jefferson Elementary are working on various team skills as well as participating in a wide variey of activities intended to assist with cardiovascular development. Additionally our 4th and 5th grade students have completed their final fitness assessment for the year. I am very happy to say there was a large number of students whom displayed improvement in several testing areas. Please take the opportunity to ask your 4th or 5th grade student about their fitness testing scores. Finally I would like to compliment the 5th grade classes of Jefferson on their behavior during their recent field trip to the Robert Crown Center for Health Education. They were all excellent representatives of our school and received multiple compliments from the staff at the Robert Crown Center. If you have any concerns or questions about the Physical Education Program at Jefferson please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Gardner.
Field Day will be taking place on Tuesday May 29th. This event is an excellent opportunity to volunteer at Jefferson and take part in one of the largest events we organize each school year. If you are interested in helping out with this event please contact the school office at 708-449-3165.
