Please check assignment notebooks each night for assignments. Students are given time at the end of period to make sure they have all homework recorded properly. In most cases, they will be given time in class to at least start assignments.

When students are absent, it is is their responsibility to find out which assignments they missed. Parents are always welcome to call the office to request homework be sent to the office to pick up at the end of the day. Students are allowed as many days as missed to make up their missed work.

On Mondays-Thursdays students will be able to stay after school for more help with any homework or content that is discussed in class.

CLASSROOM RULES

I have very high expectations for all of my students academically and in their behavior. If behavior problems occur, I will conference with the student either in the hallway or after class. Yet, if the behavior continues, I will contact a parent/guardian. If the student's behavior is more extreme, an after school detention with me or an office referral will be issued.

In addition to my classroom rules, I expect students to also follow the District 87 Rules of Conduct which are:

  • Follow directions when given
  • Stay on task; work
  • Keep hands, feet, and objects away from others
  • Come prepared for class
  • Respect yourself, others, and everyone's property
