This is a short week so the pacing will be quicker. All tests will be given on Thursday. Reading- We are now in Unit 4 stories. Each week will focus on a skill and vocabulary. As the year progresses the skills and stories become more difficult and require more effort. We are reading Rocks in his head and focus on skill and vocabulary in this passage HW:Story Packet Mon page Please practice daily vocab flash cards I provide.
Math- Beginning Chapter 8 Geometry. There is a lot of vocabulary with this chapter. Be sure your child keeps up with new words and concepts daily. HW: Practice packet page

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS Most days there is time given in class to start or finish homework. No more than 1 hour should ever be spent on homework. Please contact me if your child is spending more than 1 hour on homework! I ask each student to read 30 minutes each night. They must write a summary and record the pages read in their log. This log is collected each Monday

Report cards went home Fri Feb 3. Read and review grades, skill, and comments from 2nd quarter. Please return signed envelope.
1. Please check your child's backpack every day for graded papers and notes from the school or myself.
2. Please empty the take home folder of all papers that are graded and flyers. Only current work should be in this folder!
3. Please check your child's homework each night for completeness and effort.
