CLASSROOM HOMEWORK POLICY

Students don't always have computers at home, so it is unfair to assign computer keyboarding homework.

Computer vocabulary worksheets or Internet safety worksheets may go home if not completed in class.

FAVORITE LINKS

http://www.starfall.com This is a great site to help with pre-K through second grade basic reading skills

http//www.abcya.com This is a great site that is for K-5th grade. It has math, reading, spelling, and science learning games.

http://www.freerice.com This is a site that works on multiplication facts, vocabulary words, and words in foreign languages. Companies donate money for correct answers so you are helping feed the needy!  Keep your brain working!

http://www.funbrain.com/ This is a site that has good learning games. I am especially fond of the cash register which teaches counting change.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

TYPE MESSAGE(S) FOR PARENTS

Know who your child is sending e-mail and instant messages to. Talk to them about being safe on the internet.

FYI - Reinforce good typing at home with encouraging two handed typing. The more students use only one finger, the more difficult it is to learn proper typing.

Talk with your child about how you are using computers in your job and in your home.
