IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Dear Parents,

Our Math unit is Geometry. We are working on solids including naming the shapes and finding the volume.  This coincides with our science study of solids, liquids and gasses. Students are learning that the volume of an object is its property.  If you have opportunities at home to do measurements, this would help your child greatly to do it with you.

Our  science unit is Matter and Energy. Students are working on a project to demonstrate how molecules act in a solid, liquid, and gas.  They may type information for their project at  home and bring it to school.  Each child has a set of specific instructions for the project.  The projects will be displayed at our family night at the end of the month.

Conferences are Thursday evening.  I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your child's progress.

In order  to build responsibility, children at the age of 10 years old should have chores at home. Your child is capable of keeping his/her own room clean and keeping up on personal hygiene with minor reminders.  Also, students should have at least one chore for the household and family. Having and carrying out these chores with help build self-esteem and self confidence.

As a fourth grade team, Ms. Fregoso, Mrs. Stefani, Mr. Samp and I work closely together to provide a variety of experiences and learning activities to enhance our curriculum. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at 708-449-3842.

                                                                           Sincerely,

                                                                            Mrs. Fasse
