What to Practice
Monday
Go to the library and take out a book about the study.
Ask your child to make predictions about the story.
Ask your child to practice writing their first name.
Tuesday - Thursday
Ask your child to recall the story. Re-read the story. Ask, who, what, where, when, how questions.
Review how to read (left to right, top to bottom). Vocabulary activities.
Ask your child to practice writing their name and letters Ff, Ss, Mm, Aa, Ll, Dd, Rr, Nn,Pp,Cc,Vv, Bb, Tt, Hh, Ee, Ii, Qq, Kk, Oo, Ww, Uu, Gg, Xx, Jj, Yy & Zz.
Play letter, color, counting, sorting, size, shape, pattern, measuring and graphing games.
Friday
Practice writing name and letter of the week.
Play letter and math games.
Draw a picture.
