In an effort to continuously improve the Residency Verification process, District 87 has partnered with a vendor to electronically verify the residency of our families. Parents’ names and addresses will be cross-checked against electronic databases, such as utility companies, to determine residency.

Rather than have to make up these days at the end of the school year and lose 2 days of learning, we created Self-Directed Learning days for our students and staff. The committee held a community engagement session on Wednesday, November 14th at Sunnyside School. The Wold architects presented background information and an update to the community on the work of the committee to-date. Preliminary options were shown and those in attendance had the opportunity to share their feedback. The next committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 28th. The final report from the committee will be presented to the Board at its Facility Meeting immediately preceding its regular Board Meeting on Monday, December 17th at 7:00 p.m.
