Online Registration of New Students 

Online Registration will NOT BE AVAILABLE from July 1, 2024 - July 22, 2024.  While the online registration system is down, District 87 will be updating its Skyward Student Information System. 

for Students who are Youth in Care( DCFS )
Dr. Spatafore is the DCFS Liaison for District 87. She will facilitate the enrollment and transfer of records of students in the legal custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) when students enroll in our schools.

New Families
New families should click on this “ Skyward New Student Online Registration Account Request Link ” and complete the new student online registration process for each student who will be attending a District 87 school for the 2024-2025 school year. The entire enrollment process can be completed online.You can also make an appointment with your school office to complete the process in person.  Here is the link to the contact information for each school to schedule an appointment. 

Online Enrollment Account Application for New Skyward Students

  • Student's birth certificate (Pre-K and Kindergarten students must have an original birth certificate)
  • Here is the link to the Home Language Survey. The state requires districts to collect a home language survey for each new student. This information is used to count students whose families speak a language other than English at home. It also helps identify students who need to be assessed for English language proficiency. 


All parents/guardians must provide a valid photo ID with a current District 87 address

Form 1

Residency Verification English/Spanish

  • Form 1 needs to be completed by All families.
  • Form 1 is the only form that will be needed for families who own or rent. 
  • Parents/Guardians need to complete Form 1 and verify residency by providing items from Category 1Category II, & Category III.

Form 2A

- English
- Spanish

  • Form 2A needs to be completed by families that rent but do not have a formal lease. 
  • The landlord/property owner needs to complete Form 2A. Form 2A needs to be notarized by a Notary Public.

Special Residency Meeting

  • Meeting has to be scheduled for families that live with a 3rd party.
  • The property owner/renter needs to be present at residency verification.  The property owner/renter needs to complete paperwork and verify residency by providing items from Category ICategory II, & Category III.

*Fees are assigned to Skyward Family Access after the enrollment process has been completed.

- Single Student Enrollment Fee $30.00
- Family Enrollment Fee (two or more Students) $45.00
